
Carmen Lai
Occupational Therapist
Carmen is a therapist who believes in a values-based, family-inclusive practice and takes a collaborative, compassionate approach to therapy. She has worked across a range of settings, including the NDIS community, not-for-profit organisations, and hospitals, and brings this breadth of experience to her current work with individuals and families.
Carmen is trained in several therapeutic practices, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Narrative Therapy. She has a particular interest in early intervention and enjoys supporting children, adolescents, and young adults through various life stages. Carmen is also a credentialed eating disorder clinician and linguistically diverse backgrounds. She is multilingual and can offer support in Mandarin, Cantonese, Malay, and Spanish.
When she is not working, Carmen enjoys dancing and cooking, and she strongly believes in the healing power of movement in all its forms.
